Donald Trump is an example of an abuse of government priviledge, not a self-made man. It’s called eminent domain. If anything, he’s an example of how the government screws over the little people by violating private property rights. http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/265171/donald-trump-and-eminent-domain-robert-verbruggen
How about profiling a real self-made American in a time of discrimination before income tax and major infrastructure, like Madam C.J. Walker? Just because government has reared its ugly head into every aspect of our lives, doesn’t make it resopnsible for our success.
Of course nobody makes it on their own. Entrepranuers have to provide goods and services that benefit consumers, or they go out of business. Governments have no such incentive or punishment for failure.
