Cincinnati Hostile Takeover?
Monday, January 16, 2006

Posted by The Dean of Cincinnati

Where has Cincinnati corporate media been ever since the Gothard cult has started to takeover Cincinnati?  The answer may shock you:  they have been sponsoring the takeover!  Here is a brief introduction to how the Gothard movement has started to infiltrate our City’s institutions.

Take a look at the home page for Cincinnati’s Character Council.  It seems rather innocent.  I mean, who can dispute the value of a solid character trait like “Punctuality”—the featured “Character Quality” for the month of January, 2006.

However, this character movement is really a front for a cult-like flavor of Christian fundamentalism by a guy named Bill Gothard.  These Character Cultists have all kinds of crazy practices, like beating misbehaving children and placing them in a prayer closet to sit in puddles of their own excrement

It has also been reported that the group would like to send gender equality back a few centuries.

So what kinds of Cincinnati institutions would support a front-group for this kind of dangerous and radical behavior?  The answer might very well shock you, as well as provide insight as to why you’ve likely not heard of this movement with any real detail in local, corporate media.

Check out these links to Cincinnati Sponsors:

*Business Organizations
*Education Organizations
*Faith Organizations
*Government Organizations

The lists above include the following media organizations:

WCPO (Channel 9-ABC)
WKRC (Channel 12-CBS)
WLWT (Channel 5-NBC)
WSTR (Channel 64-WB)
WXIX (Channel 19-FOX)

I don’t see Gannett or The Enquirer, but it’s not hard to connect the dots on this one:  The Enquirer and Post are associated with WCPO through the Cincinnati.com network.

Corporate media are masters of deceit. They are connected to the old boy network that is pushing this old christian crusade.

Yeah, well God’s not on their side.  God prefers democrats, my proof is in the Super Bowl.  This years Super Bowl teams are from Blue States.  If Ohio had gone Blue the Bengalis would be in the Super Bowl, God sent his message through Carson Palmer.  If not for that knee injury the Steelers would’ve lost, the Bengalis would be playing Seattle.  The next two weeks of hype would’ve been about Cincinnati.  If Hamilton County had gone Democratic God would’ve rewarded the area with a Super Bowl appearance.  It’s too bad for Carson though, God works in mysterious ways.
