This is a public records request as provided by the Ohio Public Records Act and all other applicable public records laws.

Please provide copies of any and all records between the years 1994-2001 regarding former City Councilman Phil Heimlich and the following individuals, organizations, and any other representatives of these organizations:

*Tom Hill, Oklahoma City, OK
*The International Association of Character Cities, Oklahoma City, OK
*Character First!, Oklahoma City, OK
*The Character Training Institute
*Institute in Basic Life Principles. IL

*Michael Daly
*Anthony Munoz
*Susan Bell
*The Character Council of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky

This request includes any and all records, including but not limited to letters, e-mails, and phone records.

The Ohio Public Records Act requires that all public records “...be promptly prepared and made available for inspection to any person at all reasonable times during regular business hours.”

A. Please provide the requested materials as ready rather than accumulated.

B. Please provide all documents in electronic form where available, otherwise please provide printed copies.

C. Please notify me when I may come by and inspect the records at your office. 

D. If my request is denied in whole or in part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the Ohio Public Records Act.

I agree to pay all reasonable copying and mailing costs up to $25. If such costs exceed that amount, please provide me with a written estimate before completing this request.

   I don’t think your going to get any records b/c you’re asking them to do research.  If I understand correctly, you need to ask for the item you want, not ask them to go see if the item exists or not.

   I had great results finding things this way in the past.  My request is by the book.  If the records exist, they will give them to me.

   I have received your records request per your below e-mail.  Our records do not show any files on any of the following listed except, Michael Daly and Anthony Munoz.  These files are however reports of council and communications which were discussed before full council not solely Phil Heimlich.  If you would like copies of these reports and communications, please inform me and we will be glad to forward them to you.  You may also feel free to go on our website http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov then to the Council Homepage to the Clerk’s system to review these items to see if they are still of interest to you.

   The Cleveland Plain Dealer just published this article about Ken Blackwell’s “Ohio Center for Civic Character,” which is being managed by Assistant Secretary of State Monty Lobb, founder of Citizen’s for Community Values.

   Chalk up another scoop for The Dean. The story showed up here months ago.

   Plenty of Cincinnati reporters read this blog. Why did it take a Cleveland reporter to go after the story?
