Open letter to Jungle Jim’s regarding open refrigeration units

Dear Jungle Jim’s,

As you know, Jungle Jim’s has a reputation for going out on a limb.  That’s why I’d like to share a concept that could put you in the spotlight as an area leader among grocers concerned with ecologically friendly solutions.

Please check out this study:

In short, green-consciousness has reached a new level in mainstream culture.  As you probably know, lots of energy and carbon emissions are spent and produced due to open refrigeration units.

While some may suggest that retrofitting open refrigeration units with doors will prevent people from buying string cheese, or yogurt, a greater possibility is that the move can save energy costs, increase profits, and earn your store positive media through implementing the concept.

I write this letter, therefore, in hopes that Jungle Jim’s will consider retrofitting doors on open refrigeration units for the benefit of future generations.

Respectfully,

[The Dean of Cincinnati]
