Modesty Wear:  Showing some skin, or some sin?

According to a KING-TV news report, Mike Shrock (the founder of “Wholesome Wear”—which offers swimming suits like those pictured to your right) first got the idea “at a home-schooling conference when a speaker complained about the lack of modest clothes.” Is there something to be said for the lack of modesty in modern fashion?  Is applying that concept to swim-wear taking the idea too far?

When many Americans see the rules in Islamic countries governing how a woman should dress—covering up most of her body except for the eyes, for example—we interpret this as the oppressiveness of an evil enemy.  But what about the evangelical Christian Jihadists, who have been organizing an army for Jesus

Is it too extreme to fear a future with mandated Christian Wholesome Wear?  And if that is too far, what about an emerging environment where the soap-boxes are colonized by a moral majority seeking to evangelize at every turn, transforming simple family vacations at the water park into Christ-laced confrontations about alleged improper behavior?

Yes, I know—these Christians are just trying to save our souls from eternal damnation.  But didn’t anyone tell them that the Jews were right?
