John London just did an outstanding story on the problem of the 3CDC parking garage underneath Fountain Square! He met with Hamilton County Commission President Todd Portune in the garage, and his crew filmed examples showcasing the problem. But it gets better! London even read from a letter 3CDC sent Portune 15 months ago, and back then they told him they would fix the problem! Hey 3CDC, you just got busted telling lies!

Hey Council, can we get an oversight committee for your corporate planning department?
You were supposed to appoint one a few years ago, remember?

Oh yeah Dean, we forgot to mention the steps to nowhere in our follow up report. All 3CDC had to do was put in better signage. That would be a very minimal cost that should have been included in any remodel, especially one that costs $42 million dollars.
Thanks Mr. Portune for pointing that one out as well!
If 3CDC is so inept in their first major project (remember they were way off schedule as well) then why does council continue to give them our tax dollars? (Oh yeah, large campaign contributions.)

I said a month ago, this was the most inept group of people I had ever worked with for any livestrong event. When I think about how much we could have helped people, and the city, it makes me sick .
Good job on the story. I know there are many many more regarding this group.
Just amazing.

Never forget the media, our elected officials and the cops are in collusion
This makes the local press look responsible (they didn’t find the story you did), the council concerned (they probably already have a plan but the media is going to get to play public watchdog until it’s completely ready)and to make matters worse: you will never get credit for jump starting the work they all should have done.
Sometimes, I really hate this city.

That brings up a question Dean. The reporter that was digging into 3cdc the first time. Is he still here? I am betting not. How long did it take them to move him to another market?
That Deborah Girl: They called me last week ( for the 4th week) saying that my open records request was almost ready regarding my deal with 3cdc. So now we are in the 5th week. No question the paper press is on the “ team( not of the people) and It is my understanding that the Beacon and WLWT are the only ones to ask and try to hold them accountable. . Of course then they hire the person from the one station that will say something, to be their Press person.
I found it very interesting that she urged Mr Portune to come to them directly if this isn’t fixed ( which means, please dont go to the press) They dont like the press looking at them, so they bought them. The Dean points out the Gannent code all the time. They obviously dont follow it.
Is it fixed? Really, how long does it take to fix this? I said before, if in this instance it was a county issue, it would have taken Mr Portune 1 phone call.
I imagine that this city has been involved in Shananigans since the days of giant lizzards running around this area. Until the voters get informed, and boot these people out it will continue. It’s the same people basically, doing the same thing for how many years now ? They have forgotten who they represent.
I had dinner with some life long Cincinnati residents last night. Normal, church going Volunteering, tax paying people , who I have never heard say a word against this city, all the sudden talking about the “leaders “ with such contempt for how they do their jobs , the time is comming that these people who think it is their God given right to call people “Inbiciles ‘ and to fleece this city( as it always has been ) it is ripe to get organized and vote them out.
