St. Joseph, situated on the hillside overlooking the Ohio River, offers us the beauty of winter. Winter is a time when the tree roots are growing in quiet hibernation, encouraging us as well to take time for prayer and inner reflection on the goodness and beauty of life within us. Come, join the circle of women on the journey of life during this midwinter season. Public Meeting on County Services: Preserve Quality and Jobs

Hamilton County plans to layoff over 500 workers. Many of these are workers performing essential services in Jobs and Family Services, in the courts, and other areas.
This is the wrong time for such layoffs. This will put County workers onto the unemployment lines, losing their health insurance, just when the demands for county services are increasing because of a recession.
Come to this meeting to discuss these issues so important to our jobs and to the services to our citizens. All county employees and the public are invited.

They should have this meeting in Columbus. All the JFS cuts are due directly to cuts from the state—the County has no control over them whatsoever.
