According to the Wall Street Journal, for the first time since 1994 corporations are beginning to shift back to giving more money to the Corporate Democrats. They say that corporations contribute to candidates that look out for their interests regardless of party affiliation. Money buys influence in the best democracy money can buy and continues to stifle the voices of the American people.

I should probably let this die a natural death like all your other posts on this subject becqause once I respond, it starts a dialog that wouldn’t exist otherwise. And I know you’re trying to earn your paycheck from the Republicans, er..., I mean Greens, er… I mean Nader, er...I mean the despicable mega-corporate entertainment conglomerates you’re trying to hook up with. Oh crap. Forget it. I can’t keep straight who’s pulling your strings today. But whoever it is, try to be a little more honest could ya? How about citing the article in the Washington Post (see Huffington Post) pointing out how the oil money is rolling in for McCain?

cincysuz, why don’t you cite the article that talks about McCain?
Obviously the Republicans take money from corporations and you can’t honestly say I’ve ever suggested otherwise, not that that will stop you from attempting to smear me.
What is new and therefore newsworthy is that corporations are shifting back towards giving more money to the Democrats than the Republicans which hasn’t really happened since 1994 when the Dems were in power.
You should know that it is Obama that is getting more Republican money than McCain. I wouldn’t want these facts to interefere with your blind faith in the Democratic Party.

This is certainly a very interesting development that deserves attention from those who hold the belief that an Obama presidency will bring about fundamental change.
Speaking of corporate money flowing to both major parties, I posted a blog entry the other day that discusses the flow of corporate money into sponsoring the Republican and Democratic Conventions. There are some good tables that break down the money flow that I link to and are worth checking out:

(I don’t mean to shamelessly plug my own blog, but I think that the information directly relates to the topic.)
There was also a good interview on Democracy Now! last week that discussed the very topic of corporate money flowing into the conventions of both major parties. You can find that here:

Follow the money!
