Citizen watchdogs wonder if Andre Harper is next.
Michael Dalton has filed a complaint with the Ohio Elections Commission against Pat Fischer, claiming Fischer has used false statements in his campaign materials. Sources tell me that other citizen watchdogs have their eyes on Andre Harper, who allegedly has been using questionable campaign rhetoric of his own.
According to the suit filed by Dalton, Fischer claimed in campaign material that he currently serves as president of the Cincinnati Bar Association. Dalton provides this link to dispute Fischer’s claim.
Dalton also quoted Fischer campaign material as stating, “In his free time, Pat Fischer is a dedicated public servant. Hs serves, or has served, on numerous local boards including the Hamilton County Mental Health & Recovery Services Board, VISIONS Community Services Board, the Children’s Museum, and ST, Ursula Villa. The capstone of his public service was his election as President of the Pleasant Ridge Community Council.”
Dalton responded, “The above statement servers to co-mingle past and current positions in a manner confusing to the consumer, i.e. voter, by using the title of an office not currently held by a candidate in a manner that implies that the candidate does currently hold that office or otherwise disseminating a false statement concerning a candidate, either knowing the same to be false or with reckless disregard of whether it was false in an effort to promote the election of respondent, Patrick Francis Fischer. “
Addtionally, Andre Harper has allegedly distributed campaign material touting his experience in Congress and with the House of Representatives in Florida. Critics have claimed these statements may lead voters to believe he has previously held elected office in Florida. No word yet on when, or if, a complaint will be filed against Harper.

Good for Mike- he’s credible and knows his stuff. Fischer also has given the impression in public that he’s still Pres of P Ridge council when he’s been off at least a year. Not surprising that Fischer would pull stunts that violate guidelines- the newsletter for pleasant ridge council did an endorsement of him but that’s a violation since city gives money for newsletter and guidelines clearly state the funding can’t be used to advance anything political/partisan.Funny how a FORMER bar assn pres can’t seem to grasp what’s ethical and legal regarding campaigning. If he’s this clueless why would voters think he’d know anything about leading our city? He sent out a tacky chartreuse flyer that looks like a HS kid did it,and his signs are few and far between, even in his own neighborhood. What’s he spending all that money he raised on? It’s not professional lit. Oh I forgot, the dorky TV ad.

fischer was the former president of the bar association.
“Hs serves, or has served, on numerous local boards” seems to make it pretty clear to anyone with half a brain that some activities were in the past and some are current.
but lets waste some time and file a complaint

So who’s going to file a complaint against Pappy Bill Mallory, a member of the Ohio State Board of Elections, for going around asking people to vote for his children?

Jesus then Justin Jeffre with all his high falutin’ claims and accusations against everyone should certainly have a complaint filed against him. That is if he was actually a major player.

Dalton must really be an idiot if he wants to waste paper on this foolishness. Fischer and Harper have run clean campaigns. “Watchdogs” like dalton need to grow a pair and run themselves since they can do the job much better. It wont happen though. People like him are such cowards that they can only conduct their “activism” in the shadows. Thank God for blogs. Now gutless people finally have a forum!

Whatver Book Em Danno, that’s why the OEC unanimously dismissed the Complaint against Fischer less than 2days after it was filed. Michael Dalton needs to take a grammar class.

There’s nothing more amusing than watching a coward call somebody else a coward. Thanks for the laugh chump!
