If Nader were allowed to debate…

So what would really happen if Ralph Nader were allowed to debate? What would it look like, to see Nader’s talking points on a television screen right next to the kinds of talking points promoted by the corporate party candidates? Would it be anything like the clip below? And if so, how would the American people respond to such a radical redefinition of the political conversation?

Why do you guys focus so much on Ralph Nader? what about Bob Barr or Cynthia McKinney?

Shortly after Obama secured the Democratic nomination, I visited McKinney’s site to see her platform and her reaction to Obama. At that time, in my view, she was so taken by the historicity of an Obama nomination, that she seemed to struggle to voice any kind of opposition to him or to the Democrats. Disappointed, I didn’t go back. But recently, I have meant to check in again, to see what kinds of talking points she has articulated. Good suggestion.

My point really being that as “media critics” and seemingly calling for election reform, etc, you guys would not focus on any one party or on any one candidate but instead call for all candidates to be included in every aspect.
It seems that instead you guys only focus on getting Ralph Nader attention. I think this hurts your argument. (merely constructive criticism)

NtotheC, Nader is the most well known Independent and I think he’s the best candidate. We’ve certainly written more about the Green Party’s all women of color ticket with McKinney-Clemente and keep in mind we run a blog in our spare time, we don’t have a full time or part time paid staff.
We showed what the ballot looks like in Ohio with 8 candidates on it. There’s a real Presidential debate coming up on Sunday which will allow us to compare the Independents a little more closely.
I went to see McKinney speak in Columbus. I didn’t have my camera with me, but recorded a little bit with my friends camera. It has a different format and I haven’t made it back to Columbus to get it transfered. Ralph is the only Indepedent candidate that has come to Cincinnati. City Beat failed to cover the rally and they refused to publish any letters to the editor about it either.
I have repeatedly said that every candidate that is on enough ballots to win the Electoral College should be in the debates. I’ve made it clear that I think Nader’s the best candidate and why.
We would welcome anybody from the Libertarian Party, the Green Party or Constitution Party to write about their candidates and where they stand. There are many things I’d like to write about, but just get too busy.
We do not claim to have enough time or resources to make up for the biases of the well funded corporate media. Is there a local media outlet that has talked about the Independent candidates as much as we have? Has anyone else even listed them all?
We brought you the local judges and will have exclusive footage of the CINTAS rally soon. And it’s all because we want you to know more my friend. We don’t need to do all of this to have a right to be critical of the corporate media. You don’t do any of this work and you still have a right to be critical of us, right?
